More than 100 pages of
things to do
With a daily paper, yesterday’s
edition is, well, yesterday’s
news. We are proud that more than
50 percent of Cityview readers
hang on to our paper for five
days or more. Now that’s shelf
life, and this issue is a perfect
example of why that happens.
Welcome to our Summer Arts and
Entertainment Guide. At 104 pages,
this is one of our largest papers
of the year. Why? Because it is
packed with information on things
to do throughout the summer in
the areas of film, art, music,
theater and outdoors. This issue
is your definitive guide to summer
fun.
If we have heard it once from
the naysayers, we have heard it
a million times: there’s nothing
to do in Des Moines. These folks
should learn to read and take
some time to plan their summer
around all there is to offer.
Just glance at a few pages and
you will find the most comprehensive
list of arts and entertainment
in Central Iowa. We know that
95 percent of our readers look
to us for dining and entertainment
options, so if you are one of
our 75,000 weekly readers and
plan on attending concerts, films,
plays, art exhibitions or outdoor
events, this is the place to start.
Putting this paper together
was an enormous task. We make
efforts to include as much information
as possible that we feel will
be relevant to our readers. If
we happened to miss information
on your summer event, please let
us know so we can update the content
on our Web site.
We encourage you to have another
event-filled summer and try something
new this time around. The options
are certainly there.
Thanks for reading. CV
