Join Moberg for the opening reception of Red Hot, Linda Colletta’s new exhibit. Colletta will be in town from Connecticut to talk with attendees. There will be a signature cocktail and candy, and artist & DJ Dennis Atherton will be spinning vinyl for the viewers’ listening pleasure.

Red Hot includes paintings in reinvented compositions that can’t be two-dimensionally rendered, only built up through the process of tearing apart and putting back together again. Her painted canvas works, torn and woven, are marvels of red-hot imagination and discipline. Everything about red signals a passionate endeavor, and Colletta is no different in her pursuit of making intriguing and beautiful artwork.

Her work challenges the norms and unspoken rules of painting and life. It breaks the traditional picture plane and rejects conformism and chromophobia. It is not decoration. It is a statement about the authentic self—taste, vibe, mindset, and outlook on the world.
Colletta’s goal is to make the viewer look deeper, linger a little longer, and to feel something that lights you up inside. It is about freedom, breaking the rules, and radical self- expression. She hopes her work inspires you to lean into your truest, wildest, funniest, and funkiest self.

Linda Colletta got her start in New York City painting backdrops for MTV and VH1. After 16 years in the industry, she left to dedicate herself to painting full time. Her work has been shown nationally at Art Market Hamptons, Uprise Art, Monica King Projects, White Room Gallery, and Burning Man. Private collections include Justin Bieber and Google NYC.
